In the building materials industry, where fine-grained materials such as sand are transported on conveyor belts, material residues on the lower belt are a common problem. These deposits can not only shorten the service life of the conveyor system and increase maintenance costs, but also lead to inefficient material transport. PUCEST protect GmbH solved this problem for one of our customers in a concrete plant by installing an innovative solution: the PUCEST lower belt scraper roller.

The customer's conveyor belt, which transports large quantities of sand every day, suffered from significant material residue on the underside of the belt. Manual cleaning was laborious and time-consuming, which affected production.

The solution: A motorized scraper roller

The PUCEST installation team implemented a customized solution for this challenge. The choice fell on the newly developed PUCEST lower belt scraper roller, whose unique operating principle ensures continuous and thorough cleaning. The installation process was quick and efficient:

  1. Preparation: The team first mounted the specially developed brackets on the left and right sides of the conveyor belt.
  2. Installation of the roller: The shaft with the highly effective scraper blades was then precisely inserted into the brackets.
  3. Motor installation: The motor was installed as the central element. What makes the PUCEST scraper roller special is that it is motor-driven and rotates against the direction of travel of the conveyor belt. This ensures a significantly higher cleaning effect than passive systems.

The result: impeccable cleanliness and improved efficiency

After completing the installation, a test run was performed. The result was impressive: the conveyor belt was significantly cleaner.

This project highlights PUCEST protect GmbH's expertise in sustainably increasing the efficiency and longevity of industrial plants through innovative solutions tailored to specific requirements.

The innovative solution to conveyor belt wear!

Contaminated conveyor belts lead to unnecessary wear, high maintenance costs, and inefficient production. We put an end to this problem by installing our new PUCEST® underbelt scraper roller at a customer's concrete plant.

Our solution is more than just a roll:

It is motor-driven and runs against the direction of travel of the belt for extremely thorough cleaning. Our team's simple installation guarantees rapid readiness for use. The belt is now considerably cleaner and the service life of the system is extended in the long term.
