An illustrative example of PUCEST's effectiveness and comprehensive service is a recently completed project for one of our customers, in which a heavily used concrete outlet in a production plant was optimized. The initial situation: Critical wear and production risk
An inspection of the customer's system revealed a critical condition at the concrete outlet funnel. Not only was it completely worn, but the transition area to the discharge hose was literally "concreted over" by the concrete deposits. This condition not only led to a considerable loss of efficiency when discharging material, but also posed a high risk of unplanned production downtime. It was obvious that there was an urgent need for action here, which required both rapid intervention and comprehensive technical expertise.
Challenge 1: Precisely fitting reconstruction of a worn funnel
After carefully dismantling the concrete outlet, our installation team was able to inspect the first funnel in detail. Despite the massive wear and tear, it was possible to produce a precise and accurately fitting copy. This reconstruction ensures that the original functionality and geometric specifications of the hopper have been exactly restored, which is essential for a smooth material flow.
Challenge 2: New construction on site and PUCEST finishing
However, the real challenge and highlight of the project was the second funnel. Its degree of wear was so extreme that a simple copy or repair was no longer an option. A completely new design was required directly on site at the customer's premises. Our experienced assembly team was able to master this complex task thanks to its expertise and flexible working methods.
The newly designed hopper was then lined with our high-performance PUCEST wear plates. This lining, made from our specialized, highly abrasion-resistant material, offers maximum protection against the abrasive properties of concrete. The result is a tailor-made hopper that not only fits perfectly, but also promises a much longer service life and thus significantly reduces maintenance intervals.
Forward-looking design and comprehensive protection
A key aspect of the entire system design was ease of repair. The entire concrete outlet system was designed in such a way that future maintenance work can be carried out in just a few simple steps. This minimizes potential downtimes and makes a significant contribution to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the customer's system.
As a final step to complete the system, a suitable PUCEST discharge hose was also installed. This completes the concrete outlet and ensures smooth and wear-protected material discharge.

A total of two hoppers were manufactured directly on site at the customer's premises and are now optimally protected against wear.
