Our customer operates a plant for the production of polymer compounds. During the production process, plastic granules are transported to the systems via a pipe system. One weak point was a transition piece from a square pipe to a round pipe with a diameter of 10 cm. The transition piece was made of metal and was regularly ground through at various points.
We used the original part as a template for a precisely fitting spare part from PUCEST and produced a mold for casting in our CNC department. Our PUCEST transition piece has now been installed since January and shows virtually no signs of wear even after a throughput of more than 2500 tons. Our customer: “We are more than surprised by this result, but at the same time very enthusiastic.”
