At one of our customers, a weighing belt was facing significant problems that were impairing the material flow and leading to unwanted material leakage. The original seals were heavily worn, which meant that material could seep through the side guides. In addition, the side guides themselves were made of steel and were already severely damaged, which further increased wear and impaired the functionality of the conveyor.

Our experienced installation team took on this challenge and developed a tailor-made solution to repair the weighing belt and provide lasting protection against future wear. The choice fell on a combination of proven PUCEST plates and the specially developed PUCEST material guide for conveyor belts.

The repair process required precise work and a considerable amount of manual skill. A lot of drilling and screwing was required to securely and accurately attach the new wear protection components to the conveyor. The PUCEST plates were strategically placed to protect the most exposed areas, while the PUCEST material guide seamlessly encased the side guides of the conveyor belt.

It consists of a sophisticated combination of PUCEST panels with and without perforated plates. This hybrid design utilizes the advantages of both components: The pure PUCEST panels provide excellent protection against abrasion, while the panels with perforated plate allow for more stable fastening and improved integration into existing structures. The PUCEST material guide not only minimizes mechanical wear on the side guides, but also effectively prevents material from escaping. The smooth and resistant surface of PUCEST also prevents build-up and thus optimizes material transport.
